Collectible Ambassaduer Fishing Reels
Collectible Ambassaduer Fishing Reels are fishing reels popular with collectors for their age, quality and rarity.

Brief history

Ambassadeur fishing reels have become some of the most popular and recognizable reels in the fishing equipment industry, and collectors sometimes dish out thousands of dollars just to add a collectible Ambassadeur fishing reel to their collection. In recent years especially, Ambassadeur fishing reels have earned a reputation of being extremely durable and advanced as well.

The Garcia Corporation (originally A B Urfabriken, ABU Svängsta or ABU Garcia) is a Swedish-based fishing reel and equipment company that started producing Ambassadeur reels during the 1950s, and introduced the first spinning reel in 1955, followed by the first model of the Cardinal series of spinning reels in 1965. The company also produced advanced spin cast reels (Abumatic) in 1957 which included various engineering innovations like the level-wind mechanism and the under-rot spin cast reel design.
