A series of sale in New York have taken the company’s Asian art sales total to more than $100 million in 2014.
|The Ramones Collectibles And Memorabilia are items relating to the iconic New York punk band The Ramones.
The Ramones formed in New York City in 1974 and originally consisted of "Johnny Ramone" (John Cummings) on guitar, "Joey Ramone" (Jeffry Hyman) on drums and vocals, "Tommy Ramone" (Tamás Erdélyi) on drums, and "Dee Dee Ramone" (Douglas Colvin) on bass. Other members include "Marky Ramone" (Marc Bell) who replaced Tommy on drums in 1978, "Richie Ramone" (Richard Reinhardt) who replaced Marky on drums in 1983, "Elvis Ramone" (Clem Burke) who replaced Richie on drums in 1987, and "C.J. Ramone" (Christopher Joseph Ward) who replaced Dee Dee on bass in 1989.
The band is considered to be one of the earliest pioneers of the punk music genre, and some of their many popular and well-known songs include "Blitzkrieg Bop," "Pinhead," "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker," "Rockaway Beach" and "I Wanna Be Sedated," to name a few.
The band toured non-stop for 22 years and played 2,263 concerts during their career; however, the group disbanded in 1996.
The Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and were awarded with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.

Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas sold a Ramones signature Mosrite electric guitar for $1,912 in September of 2011.
Christie's in New York sold a Fender Squier Stratocaster-style electric guitar that was signed by Marky, Johnny, Dee Dee and Joey for $1,920 in November of 2005.
Julien's in Beverly Hills sold Joey Ramone's leather glove (circa 1980) for $900 in August of 2004.
Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas sold Johnny Ramone's vintage 1931 Frankstein poster for $25,300, his House of Dracula poster (circa 1945) for $10,350, his 1940 The Invisible Man Returns poster for $12,650, his 1935 The Bride of Frankenstein poster for $11,500, his 1942 Casablanca poster for $25,300, his 1941 Citizen Kane poster for $14,950, and his 1958 Attack of the 50 Foot Woman poster for $13,800 in March of 2005.
Christie's in New York sold a poster for a 1975 Ramones, Wayne County DJ and The Heartbreakers concert for a New Year's Eve Champagne Party (circa 1975) along with a letter from Casablancas Records "pitching" The Ramones as an act for $1,125, a rare poster for a Ramones concert when the group appeared at the Roundhouse on July 4th, 1976 for $3,750, and another concert poster for The Ramones when they performed at the Roundhouse with Talking Heads on June 5/6, 1977 for $2,000 in November of 2008.
RoGallery.com in Long Island City, New York sold a photograph of Dee Dee Ramone (circa 1992) for $1,000 in September of 2008.
Christie's in New York sold a photograph of the band taken for their End of the Century album (circa 1979) for $1,250 in November of 2008.
Julien's in Beverly Hills sold an autographed Road to Ruin album which was signed by Johnny, Joey, Marky and CJ Ramone for $1,125 as well as an autographed copy of the Pleasant Dreams album which was signed by the same members for $1,250 in June of 2011.
Christie's in New York sold handwritten lyrics for an unpublished Ramones song "Let's Go Playmates" in Joey's handwriting for $2,750 in November of 2008.
Guide for collectors
Memorabilia that dates back to the late 1970s is considered to be the most valuable and rare among Ramones memorabilia collectors, as well as memorabilia that was signed by every member of the band.
Restoration of an authentic instrument is recommended if there is noticeable damage, however, restoration of one of Johnny Ramone's vintage movie posters is not recommended.
