Willy Water Bugs are collectible vintage children’s toys produced in the US in the 1970s and 1980s.

“Vintage” refers to pieces manufactured within the last 100 years and can include items made as recently as the 1980s.

Willy Water Bugs featured a number of small plastic sprinklers which, when attached to a garden hose, propelled water in a range of directions.

The toy’s plastic sprinklers were notorious for injuring body parts.

The toys were manufactured by California-based Wham-O, the same company behind the popular garden toy Slip “N” Slide.

The firm has been producing toys since 1948. Its first product was the Wham-O Slingshot.
